Well, here it is! Quad’s new web site has taken quite a while to put together, but I think it looks amazing. It’s much better than our old one (if you didn’t see our old one, don’t worry, you’re not missing anything) and it has way more stuff to check out. I mean, what’s better than seeing the poster models before the next issue of Quad arrives in your mailbox? Probably nothing. Unless you’re me, then poster girls are fine, but not really the highlight of my day. Poster boys? Yeah, I don’t think that’s going to happen, but I’ll keep dreaming.

I have to give credit to Dan Guetter, Quad’s online editor, for pulling this thing together. I haven’t even seen that guy in weeks…rumor has it he’s been shackled to his desk getting this web site ready for you to explore. Don’t worry, someone throws a sandwich under his office door once in a while, and he has a sleeping bag and pillow under his desk. We take such good care of him. If you want, drop him a note and let him know what you think of the site. Unless you don’t like it…then just hush up.

I’ll be hanging out every day, either on the forums or updating you on what’s going on in Quad world via this little blog. I’m thinking of doing some photography of my desk as we get to crunch time on our next issue. My office goes from orderly (somewhat) to complete disaster in about a week when we’re getting ready to ship the newest issue of Quad to the printer. It’s going to be hard not to tell you everything we’re doing for the next issue, but I don’t want to ruin the surprise for you…so maybe I’ll just give you hints. In fact, here’s a hint now: our upcoming September issue is going to knock your socks off….but if you’re not wearing socks, well, then it’ll knock your sandals off. There are some cool machines headed your way, so be on the lookout. In fact, you might want to clean out your garage, because once you see some of the new quads, you’re going to want to get one ASAP.
